Sensei Chris Harris began his martial arts training under Sensei Ron Cimorose in 1994 at the age of 11. Chris earned his black belt in 1999, one of the few Order of Isshinryu members to achieve this rank at the age of 16. He continued his training while going off to college and graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science. He continued to work and train until he had the opportunity to take over as a Sensei at the Hombu Dojo. He currently teaches the Tuesday and Thursday kids classes at the Hombu Dojo located in Elkton Maryland. Recently he also began teaching a class at the Abingdon YMCA on Wednesday nights.
He was promoted to roku-dan (6th degree blackbelt) in February 2018, and currently serves as Dai Sempai for the OI.
